Android beveiligingsupdate december 2022: 81 patches en 77 fixes voor Pixel

Google heeft een flinke update klaargezet voor Android-toestellen. Maar liefst 81 patches bevat de nieuwe beveiligingsupdate van december. Daarnaast brengt de update nog een heleboel fixes en optimalisaties voor Pixel-toestellen. Een welkome verbetering.

Beveiligingsupdate december 2022

De laatste beveiligingsupdate van 2022 voor Android is een feit. Google heeft geheel volgens verwachting de beveiligingsupdate van december uitgerold. Het is de nieuwste patch vanuit Google voor het mobiele besturingssysteem en we zien een hele hoop zwakke plekken die gedicht worden. In totaal gaat het in de security-patch van december om 81 patches voor de beveiliging van Android. Google heeft ze allemaal op een rijtje gezet. Ook bij deze update geldt dat niet alle ruim tachtig patches voor alle toestellen zijn. Zo wordt er onderscheid gemaakt tussen bijvoorbeeld de gebruikte processor, Android-versie en andere componenten. In de komende tijd zullen de verschillende fabrikanten aan de slag gaan met het optimaliseren van de update voor de verschillende smartphones en andere Android-apparaten.

Pixel Drop december 2022

Volgens verwachting heeft Google ook een nieuwe Pixel Drop uitgebracht. Dit zijn doorgaans grote(re) updates voor de verschillende Pixel-toestellen. Met de Pixel Feature Drop van december worden maar liefst 77 bugfixes en optimalisaties doorgevoerd. De update komt onder andere beschikbaar voor de Pixel 7 Pro die we onlangs uitgebreid hebben besproken in de Pixel 7 Pro review. Die heeft Google mooi voor ons op een rijtje gezet.

Eerder werd de Google One VPN die Pixel 7-gebruikers gratis kunnen gebruiken, al uitgerold.
